Arsenal have more or less confirmed the signing of Dani Ceballos and by the time this article is up, there is every possibility that the deal will be announced.

The Gunners have been out in the market looking to bring in a new midfielder this summer given that Aaron Ramsey chose to leave the club and join Juventus.

Dani Ceballos has failed to make an impression at Real Madrid and now Arsenal have agreed to bring him on loan for the 2019-20 season with an option to buy at the end of it.

And earlier this week, Unai Emery chose to speak about his latest signing.

“We were speaking about the possibility to sign one player on loan and we have different names,” Emery said about Dani Ceballos.

“The club was working on that. Ceballos is a very good player, I know him from Betis at the beginning and also at Real Madrid.

“He played very well with the under-21s, they won with his national team in this competition.”

While these words clearly suggest Dani Ceballos will get to play a key role for Arsenal next campaign but oddly enough the manager chose to give very similar compliments to Denis Suarez when he joined the North London club on loan from Barcelona.

Unai had told the club’s official website: “We are very happy that Denis Suarez is joining us.

“He is a player we know well and I have worked with him at Sevilla.

“He brings us quality and options in many different attacking positions, so he’ll be able to help the team.”

But in the end, Suarez proved to be one of the biggest failures at the club last season and eventually, he had no other option but to return back to Barcelona as soon as his loan deal expired.

Hopefully, the same does not happen with Dani Ceballos at the end of this campaign.
