PL pundit makes a Premier League title prediction and it’s really hard to see him getting it wrong: Will there be a twist in the tail?

EPL legend Michael Owen wants Liverpool to win the Premier League but he has predicted that Man City will eventually overtake the Reds and also Arsenal.

Liverpool and Man City played out a thrilling 1-1 draw in the EPL one week ago and those dropped points have helped Arsenal regain top spot on the table. The Gunners are at the top thanks to goal difference while MCFC are third, just one point away from the top.

City are defending their domestic treble and Pep’s side have the experience and expertise to pick up pace just at the right time and Owen thinks they will do the same time around as well.

‘My heart of course says Liverpool and I do think they have the easiest run-in,’ Owen said on The Kelly and Wrighty Show[h/t Metro]. ‘It would be an incredible story, too, with it being Jurgen Klopp’s final season.

‘But I do think Man City are the best team in the world at the moment and they’ve proven that. I can see them going into overdrive, I think they’ve got gears left.

‘Whereas Arsenal and Liverpool might be playing at their absolute peak at the moment, I think we might Man City go at this part of the season. My head says Manchester City.’

Out of their remaining 10 matches, Liverpool have three tough fixtures in the form of Man United, Villa and Tottenham and even Arsenal have a similar fixtures list as they are still to take on Villa, Spurs and United.

However, immediately after the international break, the Gunners head to the Etihad Stadium to face Man City and we believe the fate of the EPL will decide on the outcome of this match. If MCFC can beat Arsenal in that fixture then it will be nearly impossible for the two other contenders to halt their progress.

Manchester City and Arsenal are in the Champions League and they will face Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the next round respectively. Liverpool, on the other hand, are in the Europa League and while on paper they might get some easier fixtures, playing Thursday nights are really complex and very rarely do teams recover fully from such matches.
