Man United

Man United had a really horrible 2018-19 season as they failed to qualify for the Champions League this campaign.

The Red Devils started the season under Jose Mourinho and given that this was the Portuguese’s third season in charge at the club, problems were bound to happen.

Not only were Man United failing to put up good performances on the pitch but the manager also had a falling out with a couple of players at the club – including Paul Pogba.

And after a lot of chaos, Mourinho was finally sacked in December and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was brought as the caretaker manager until the end of the season.

The plan was to ask Solskjaer to steady the ship while Ed Woodward brought in a new manager. But in the end, the Norwegian was given the job at the back of some fine performances.

Yes, Man United did lose form towards the end of the season but most pundits believe that Soslskjaer is the right man to bring back the glory days at Old Trafford.

Cantona posted a picture of himself and a parrot on Instagram with the caption:

“Please repeat after me: “United will be champion this year!”

Yes, we understand that Eric Cantona loves Manchester United but certainly, this prediction(hope) is too much of a far-fetched dream.

Right now, the biggest job for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is to bring back Champions League football to Old Trafford next campaign and if he can manage to do that then it would certainly be considered as a successful season for the Red Devils.

And as far as challenging the likes of Man City and Liverpool for the Premier League title is concerned, Man United are still a long way away from that.
