Eric Dier Spurs Premier League

Defender Eric Dier is out of contract at Tottenham and as per reports, the English defender could be on his way to West Ham United.

The Hammers failed to land Harry Maguire during the previous summer window and the way he’s revived his career at Man United, there’s no way Moyes will be able to sign him now.

However, West Ham United still need defensive reinforcements for the second half of the season which is why they have made contact with Spurs for the signing of Eric Dier.

Dier joined Tottenham in 2014 but under Ange Postecoglou he’s fallen down the pecking order, starting just one Premier League game this season and the new manager has already agreed on the sale of the defender.

Dier is out of contract in the summer of 2024 so Spurs have to sell him this month or lose him for free at the end of this season. Currently, he’s valued at €19 million so if West Ham can pay around €15 million then they should be able to sign the 29-year-old without any major problems.

Tottenham have brought in Micky van de Ven who’s been really good up until now plus they are also eyeing a January move for Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo which is why they can afford to cash in on Eric Dier. It’s better to bring in some transfer money rather than letting him leave as a free agent.

The England defender has played only 199 minutes of league football this season but at West Ham, he can actually come in and become a regular starter in central defence.

This one should be an easy and straightforward signing for the Hammers but David Moyes will be hoping that his management can wrap things up as early as possible.
