According to journalist Christian Falk, Jadon Sancho is about to return to Borussia Dortmund in a short-term loan deal till the summer.
Sancho has been frozen out of the Manchester United squad since his public falling out with manager Erik ten Hag and after playing just three Premier League games this season, the winger is about to head back to the Bundesliga.
United and BVB are in active negotiations where Dortmund will pay a loan fee while the Red Devils will pay a part of the player’s salary for the remainder of the season. There’s still no confirmation if there is an obligation to buy clause in the loan deal but ETH will try his level best to get rid of Sancho permanently.
According to Telegraph journalist Jason Burt, West Ham United are also keen to sign Jadon Sancho but the major problem that the London side are having is meeting the wage demands for the England international.
Sancho currently earns £250,000 per week at Man United while West Ham’s highest earner is Lucas Paqueta £150,000 per week. This means paying even 50% of Sancho’s wages will be nearly impossible for the Hammers.
Also, the 23-year-old will prefer moving back to Dortmund, a club where he found his most success. His last appearance for United was way back in August and honestly speaking, it will be much easier for him to regain his form in Germany rather than remain in England.
Jadon Sancho is expected to head to the Dortmund training camp by the end of this week and the loan move should be formally announced sometime next week.
Along with West Ham, RB Leipzig and Juventus have also been linked with the English winger but there’s no way BVB will let him go – unless there’s a breakdown of talks between the two clubs.
