Erling Haaland BVB

Borussia Dortmund are not ready to sell Erling Haaland this summer but according to Eurosport, Chelsea are hoping they can change this stance.

The report claims: “It is not in the plans for Borussia Dortmund to sell Erling Haaland this summer, yet that does not mean a transfer is impossible.

“Dortmund are continuing to plan for one more campaign with their star striker—they feel he will like the idea of having his pick of clubs when his 75 million Euros release clause kicks in next summer.

“Sources close to Chelsea are convinced that the club will still test the water with Dortmund this summer in case they can jump the queue and sign him a year before most clubs are expecting to go to auction.

“Chelsea don’t like to wait, they like to make things happen.”

Will Chelsea be able to sign Erling Haaland this summer?

Borussia Dortmund are very serious about holding onto Erling Haaland for one more season which is why they have slapped a £150-odd million price tag on the Norwegian international.

The Germans are hoping all the potential suitors will back off after hearing this absurd value but it looks like Chelsea remain determined.

Marina Granovskaia will give it one more shot at trying to sign Haaland this summer and since Roman Abramovich is backing Chelsea with a substantial budget so money will not be a problem.

The first thing they will need to do is to convince Erling Haaland to move out of Germany this summer itself and for that to happen, the Blues will need to please his agent Mino Raiola.

The Premier League side will definitely not find it easy since as soon as the news that Erling Haaland is up for sale hits the market, other suitors like Real Madrid and Manchester City will also start queuing up.

But, with only a handful of world-class strikers available in the European market right now, this is definitely worth a try.

The 20-year-old has played in only 59 games for BVB till date but he’s already managed to rake up 57 goals and 15 assists.
