Manchester United have been linked with Erling Haaland over the past couple of months and rumours have been ripe that the youngster is heading to Old Trafford in January.
Erling Haaland started his career at Molde under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but he went on to join RB Salzburg in January of this year. And he is currently the most talked-about striker in European football.
The 19-year-old has featured in 22 games for Salzburg this season and has managed to net a staggering 28 goals in these appearances so its no surprise that Man United are willing to break the bank in order to bring him onboard.
And last week, there were reports that Solskjaer had actually travelled to Salzburg for a meeting with the player’s representatives since his current club are open to selling him off in January.
Now speaking about the youngster, the Man United manager has finally made it clear that he is keeping tabs on him before the January transfer window reopens.
‘He is a player I like,’ Solskjaer said via The Metro.
‘We are looking for good players all the time. Erling has had a good development, so he has to develop further wherever he decides.
‘I don’t need to talk so much about him, but we as a team always look for players who can complement the others we have, and then we see what we end up with.’
A number of other top clubs have shown interest in signing Erling Haaland in January but it looks like the player has made up his mind to move to Old Trafford.
It’s being claimed that while Man United are yet to make a formal offer to Salzburg but a verbal agreement has been struck between the parties.
Solskjaer is very much interested in signing Erling Haaland and the Norwegian boss wants to bring the player on board as soon as the transfer window reopens.
