Chelsea will take on Arsenal in the Europa League final later this month but many fans think that the trip is not worth it.

The first major reason is that the Europa League final will be played at the Baku Olympic Stadium which is in Azerbaijan meaning the teams, as well as the players, would have to travel for almost 3,000 miles just to reach the stadium.

Then to add more woes, there are no direct flights from London to Baku which means both sets of fans will have to spend crazy amounts of money in order to make the trip.

And now the third and most dampening news has come into the limelight.

As per reports, both Chelsea and Arsenal will receive around 6,000 tickets each for the Europa League final later this month.

Yes, 6,000 tickets each for such a showpiece event at a stadium whose official capacity is 68,700.

Arsenal have already released a statement claiming that they will hold dialogues with UEFA in order to try and increase the total number of allocated tickets.

“We are in active discussions with UEFA for more tickets for our fans but this disappointing ticket allocation obviously presents us with extreme difficulties in how we allocate tickets to you, our loyal supporters,” the club said in a statement(via talkSPORT).

“It is inevitable that with an allocation of just 6,000 tickets for the final, there will be thousands of fans who have supported the club for years and been part of our Europa League journey this season, who will be unable to attend this match.”

“This is a disappointing situation.”

Chelsea have been allocated 5801 tickets but the club have not confirmed if they will urge UEFA to increase the number of tickets.

talkSPORT’s Alan Brazil gave his views on the Sports Breakfast show and the host certainly did not hold back:

“It’s a long, long way to go. And then we’re hearing there’s less than 7,000 tickets for each team. I mean, come on!”Absolutely ridiculous. 6,000 tickets for each club for the Europa League final for each club.

“What an absolute disgrace. What are UEFA thinking?”
