Man United take on Wolves in the FA Cup quarter-finals this Saturday and this is perhaps the only shot that Solskjaer has at winning a silverware this season.

United suffered their first domestic defeat last weekend when the Red Devils were beaten 2-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates but Solskjaer will be hoping that his players can bounce back from that loss.

Wolves are in no ways a weak team and this season, Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have performed exceptionally well in the Premier League.

Man United news for the FA Cup:

Solskjaer had been struggling with a series of injuries during the past couple of weeks but slowly most of them are returning back to the first XI.

Nemanja Matic came back from an injury and started the game vs Arsenal and the midfielder is once again scheduled to be named in the first XI this weekend.

Ander Herrera is also expected to be fit for the FA Cup clash but we do not feel, the manager will risk him especially with so many important games coming up.

Anthony Martial came off the bench vs Arsenal but this weekend in the FA Cup, the Frenchman is expected to start the game vs Wolves.

Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez are still sidelined with injuries and so is Juan Mata. So this means that Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford will once again up front.

Paul Pogba will start in midfield and since Ander Herrera is not expected to return hence Fred will hopefully get the nod.

David De Gea should be rested for the FA Cup clash given Sergio Romero has been the cup goalkeeper for Man United.

Man United’s predicted XI in the FA Cup:

First XI: Romero, Luke Shaw, Ashley Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Fred, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Anthony Martial, Rashford, Romelu Lukaku.
