The German magazine Der Spiegel has once again shocked the footballing world by releasing a set of documents which talks about the much-hyped European Super League.

And ever since the documents were revealed, the footballing world has been sent into a frenzy.

The leaks about the European Super League has shaken up the footballing world and even FIFA has scampered to release a statement bringing down the rebel league.

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has made it clear that any clubs which are planning to take part in the European Super League will be duly punished.

“Either you are in or you are out,” Infantino said

“This includes everything.

“The Club World Cup is the answer to any attempt to even think about any sort of breakaway leagues,

“If the price to pay is to give proper revenues to a club participating in a Club World Cup but this allows us to … give $1m to Haiti who has nothing, or to Mongolia who has three time zones but only two football pitches, well then we should be I think doing that,

“People are still quite reasonable,

“I trust certainly the club owners and presidents to be able to have a discussion.”

As many as 11 top European clubs have been named in the leak as the founding members of the European Super League.

The clubs are – Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Milan.

Along with these 11 members, there will be five other clubs competing in the European Super League who have been termed as ‘initial guests’. The clubs are Atlético Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Internazionale and Roma.
