Former Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri looks all set to join West Ham United.

Samir Nasri who a free agent is reportedly undergoing a medical at the London club – according to reports coming out of England.

If the rumours hold true then the 31-year-old attacking midfielder could be announced by West Ham by the end of Monday.

Samir Nasri moved to the Premier League in 2008 as he joined Arsenal. And after playing three full seasons with the Gunners, the former Marseille man chose to join fellow league rivals Manchester City.

While Samir Nasri did play some of his best football at Arsenal but it was at the Etihad that he won the major trophies in his professional career.

Nasri won the Premier League trophy twice while playing for City but eventually left the club in 2017 as he moved joined Turkish side Antalyaspor on a two-year contract for a reported €3.5 million transfer fee.

The 31-year-old though has been facing a tough time ever since he moved to Turkey.

On 22 February 2018, Nasri was given a six-month ban from football by UEFA, for breaching WADA rules in December 2016 by receiving an intravenous drip of 500 millilitres of water containing nutrients.

On 1 August 2018, Nasri’s ban was increased by an extra 12 months following an appeal from UEFA’s ethics and disciplinary inspector.

But now that Samir Nasri has served his ban he is all set to move back to England and join Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United.

Nasri will reportedly be earning £80,000-per-week at the London stadium and while many clubs were not willing to pay him that huge salary but Pellegrini has decided otherwise given that he has already worked with the midfielder.

Samir Nasri will be a perfect replacement for Andriy Yarmolenko who recently suffered an achilles injury and has been ruled out for the rest of the Premier League season.
