Rangers FC have finally signed centre-back Joe Worrall from Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal.

Joe Worrall has been linked with a move to the Light Blues all throughout the past week and the move was originally set to be completed on Monday.

While the Forest manager was eager to send Joe Worrall out on loan but he was not sure about sending him to Ibrox simply because he thought that the centre-back would not receive enough game time at the club.

But this problem was swiftly solved by Steven Gerrard who ensured that Joe Worrall would be used almost every week.

Worrall is a product of Nottingham Forest’s youth academy and has made 56 appearances for the club since his competitive debut back in 2015.

Nottingham Forest confirmed the move on their official website stating: Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall has joined Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers on a season-long loan.”

What will Joe Worrall bring to Rangers?

Joe Worrall has been signed by Steven Gerrard as the back up to Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic so do not expect the 21-year-old to play week in and week out.

But now that the Gers have gained entry into the Europa League the games will come thick and fast meaning Worrall should receive a fair bit of playing time.

Joe Worrall is known for his passing abilities which will help Rangers play out from the back but the biggest problem with the youngster is his concentration level which we are sure will improve under the guidance of Steven Gerrard.

All in all the centre-back was a much-needed signing for the club and now that Gerrard has got what he wanted, Rangers look a much more comprehensive unit.
