Rangers FC have heavily banked on loan players for success this season and it looks like Steven Gerrard will be treading on the same path this summer.

As per reports, the Gers manager is planning to bring in a couple of new faces during the summer transfer window and at least three of them will be from the Liverpool academy.

The first one is obviously youngster Ryan Kent who has had a positive impact at Ibrox this campaign.

Ryan Kent joined Rangers last summer and the winger has been one of the few loanees who has seen success in the Premiership.

Kent is scheduled to return back to Liverpool at the end of the season but Gerrard is making plans to bring him back for another loan spell.

Some rumours have also claimed that the Gers might be looking to push for a permanent deal but that might not be possible since Jurgen Klopp is not too keen to let the youngster leave right now.

Apart from Ryan Kent, Rangers are also keeping tabs on Ben Woodburn and Curtis Jones and the report claims that Gerrard is planning to make a move for them as well.

Steven Gerrard apart from being a Liverpool player had also spent a significant amount of time at Melwood after his retirement so obviously, the Gers boss knows what he is going after.

Having said that though, it will be really hard for him to sanction three loan deal from Liverpool but experts believe the former England international can pull it off due to his close ties with Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp obviously has full faith on Gerrard and if the likes of Woodburn and Jones are indeed to move out on loan spells then surely Rangers will one of the preferred clubs.

This season, the Gers will most likely go trophyless but given how their performances have gotten better towards the second half of the season, many experts believe that Rangers will most certainly be ready to challenge Celtic for the Premiership title next campaign.
