Rangers have signed pre-contracts with Dundee’s Glen Kamara and Kilmarnock’s Jordan Jones.

Both the players are out of contract at their respective clubs at the end of the season and they will now be joining Rangers for the next campaign.

But out of these two, Glen Kamara was expected to arrive at Rangers this month itself.

Dundee were ready to let Kamara move to Ibrox in January in return of a transfer fee and a Gers player on loan for the rest of the season.

Rangers had asked youngster Ryan Hardie to move to Dundee on a swap deal for Glen Kamara but the player had reportedly refused.

Ryan Hardie had been on loan to Livingston this season but was called back by Steven Gerrard this month.

Hardie was not too keen to join Dundee and the player wanted to head back to Livingston for the rest of the season.

And this is exactly what has happened.

The Gers have announced that Ryan Hardie has signed a one-year contract extension at the club and will now head back to Livingston on loan until the rest of the season.

While Rangers would have loved to have Glen Kamara at the club this month but now Mark Allen has made it clear that the Arsenal academy graduate will be staying in Dundee until the end of the season.

We can understand why Dundee were not too eager to let Glen Kamara leave for nothing this season since the player has played in 16 Premiership games for the club this season.

They were hoping to get Ryan Hardie in return for the rest of the season but now it looks like they will be able to keep Glen Kamara until the summer.
