Arsenal take on Everton in the Premier League on Sunday and before the game, Unai Emery seems to have a defensive crisis.

Lucas Torreira is ruled out with suspension and right now there are severe doubts over the fitness of both Granit Xhaka and Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey picked up a groin strain during the win vs Newcastle and some rumours have claimed the Welshman might not be fit in time.

Granit Xhaka too has the same dilemma as the Swiss international recovers from his groin injury.

And now just days before the Everton clash, Xhaka has proved an update on his injury via Instagram.

Granit Xhaka wrote: “I am working hard to get back on the pitch as soon as possible.”

While it is clear that the midfielder is making rapid progress but it is still unclear if he will be fit before the visit to Goodison Park on Sunday.

Some reports though claim that even if Granit Xhaka is available for selection, then too, Unai Emery will not use him.

This is because the Gunners have a really important Europa League clash coming up vs Napoli and Emery wants Granit Xhaka to play in that game.

Risking him during Sunday’s EPL clash might aggravate his injury further and he could be ruled out for the Europa League game next week.
