And speaking about the fine form that Liverpool are in right now, the Man City manager has chosen to acknowledge that they have caught everyone by surprise.
Guardiola said, as quoted: “We did something incredible and Liverpool is doing it now.
“We cannot deny the distance is big: 22 points. We didn’t expect it but we have to respect it.
“Two years ago, we were 25 points ahead of them.
“This group of players won something unique.”
Liverpool are only a handful games away from picking up their first-ever Premier League title thereby ending decades of wait to lift this elusive trophy.
And many pundits feel that if the Anfield outfit are successful in winning the league this season then it could very well start a period of dominance in the domestic circuit which will surely be bad news for Manchester City as well as the other big names in England.
Liverpool are also very much alive in the Champions League as well as the FA Cup meaning the dream of winning a treble is a very real possibility for Jurgen Klopp and his men.
