Dele Alli Spurs vs Man United

Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli recently put up a video on social media in which he was making fun of a man on the recent Coronavirus outbreak.

The deadly virus has taken more than a thousand lives in China already and across the world, multiple cases of people being affected by the virus are being discovered.

And in such a critical situation, Dele Alli chose to make a mockery of the outbreak and now the Daily Mail are reporting that the player could face a ban due to his behaviour.

The report states: “The Football Association are investigating Dele Alli’s controversial video he posted on social media mocking a man over the Coronavirus outbreak, which leaves the Tottenham man facing a suspension.

“The Spurs player has issued an apology for the inappropriate video but could now be punished after the FA opened an investigation in view of a potential disrepute charge.

Disciplinary chiefs have now written to Alli to seek his observations on the post.

“Alli, 23, posted the video on Saturday showing a man of Asian descent with the caption: ‘Corona whatttttt, please listen with volume.’

“In the next part of the Snapchat story, the midfielder wears a mask while appearing to feign concern. He then shows a bottle of handwash, accompanied by the caption: ‘This virus gunna have to be quicker than that to catch me.’”

Will Dele Alli miss the game vs Chelsea?

Unlikely.

Back in November, Man City man Bernardo Silva made a social media post in which he mocked team-mate Benjamin Mendy and the post was deemed racist.

And due to this offence, the forward was banned for one game and fined £50,000. And as per the reports, if Dele Alli is found guilty then the Spurs man could face a similar punishment meaning he will not be out for the Chelsea class scheduled for the end of the month.

But if he does receive a ban then he will be missing Spurs’ clash against Aston Villa this upcoming weekend and given that Harry Kane is already out injured and Christian Eriksen has left the club, Jose Mourinho will not be too pleased with this particular situation.

But all said and done, Dele Alli did post an apology video saying: ‘Just wanted to apologise for the video I posted on Snapchat. It wasn’t funny.

‘I realised that immediately and took it down. I let myself down and the club. I don’t want you guys to have that impression of me. It isn’t something that should be joked about.’
