Arsenal are in the transfer market looking for a cheap replacement for Mesut Ozil and it looks like the club have set their eyes upon Ajax man Hakim Ziyech.

Mesut Ozil had recently claimed that he wishes to stay with Arsenal next season but given the number of games that he has played in this season, it is more or less certain that Emery wants him to move out during the summer transfer window.

Ajax have already confirmed that winger Hakim Ziyech will be moving out of the club during the summer and it looks like Emery has made the Ajax man his top transfer priority.

Hakim Ziyech too would be keen to join Arsenal since he recently claimed that a move to either the Emirates or to Barcelona would be a dream transfer.

He told Ajax TV: “Well, I have two clubs. They are Arsenal and Barcelona. That is my ultimate dream.”

But Man United too are interested in signing the 26-year-old and Solskjaer is willing to pay much more than the asking price of £25 million in order to land the winger.

Having said this though, there is one way by which Arsenal will be able to leapfrog over Man United and sign Hakim Ziyech.

And that is by beating Chelsea in the Europa League final.

Winning the Europa League would ensure that Arsenal qualify for the Champions League next season which could give automatic leverage to Unai Emery’s side.

Man United will be playing in the Europa League next campaign and the last thing that Hakim Ziyech would want is to downgrade his European endeavours after reaching the semi-finals of the UCL with Ajax this season.

So naturally, Man United would be backing Chelsea to beat Arsenal in the Europa League final so that both the interested teams have a level playing field in the transfer of Hakim Ziyech.

Chelsea will most certainly give a tough fight to Arsenal at Baku and many pundits feel that the Blues might be able to play more freely since they have already qualified for the Champions League.
