Harry Kane has been in superb goalscoring form for Spurs this season but according to Ally McCoist, the forward’s long-term future might be with Manchester City.

Kane and Son have been two of the most important players for Jose Mourinho up until now but the Lilywhites lost the opportunity to win a key silverware after they were knocked out of the FA Cup this week by Everton.

And according to Ally McCoist, Harry Kane needs to join a team like Manchester City if he wishes to win a proper silverware by the end of his professional career.

The talkSPORT host said: “He loves Spurs, and in this day and age there’s something refreshing about it.

“He’s playing with the club he loves, he’s doing well, he’s a top, top player. He’s got a big decision to make.

“The only club you’d think he could move to in the United Kingdom right now and he’d be guaranteed to win things would be Manchester City.

“I wouldn’t be ruling that move out, because I think Manchester City could still do with, in the absence of Aguero, an out-and-out centre forward goalscorer. He’s a player that could easily play in the Manchester City team.”

Harry Kane has scored 13 goals in 20 Premier League games this season and there’s a big chance that Spurs might go trophyless this campaign as well. And to make matters worse, Mourinho’s style of play does not particularly suit the England international.

Aguero, on the other hand, has played very little football this season due to constant injury problems and there’s a big chance that Guardiola might look to offload the striker in the summer.

With Aguero leaving sooner or later, Harry Kane could be the perfect replacement for the Argentinian as we don’t see the forward staying with Spurs for too long if the club fails to pick up any major silverware.
