Harry Kane is making some serious progress before Spurs take on Liverpool in the Champions League final next month.
And going by the latest news, the England captain should be fit and available for selection when the two sides meet at the Metropolitano.
Harry Kane has missed the past nine games for Spurs after picking up an ankle injury during Spurs’ 1-0 win over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.
So his return will surely be a huge boost for the Lilywhites manager who gave an update on the player’s fitness earlier this week.
“Harry Kane in the last week, since Friday or Saturday, has started to be involved with the group,” Pochettino said.
“His situation is very positive. We have one week ahead until Saturday to evaluate [him] and see how he is progressing.
“But of course, like I have said in the past, it is so important for him to feel well and he is very positive.
“We will see what happens. I am not telling you he is going to be fit 100 per cent or that he is going to be available to play from the beginning or be on the bench or be out but we are so, so positive and happy with the progression.”
Now the big question is will Harry Kane be fit enough to start the game vs Liverpool or will Pochettino risk it since this is without a doubt the most important game of his managerial career so far.
Harry Kane is also due to play for England in the Nations League a couple of days after the UCL final if he ends up injuring himself once again then it will be a huge blow for Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate.
Now though, the Daily Star have claimed that Harry Kane might be available for selection but the England captain is likely to start on the bench and will only be brought on if needed.
This means that Lucas Moura and Son will once again share attacking duties at the Metropolitano.
