Unai Emery is under extreme pressure at Arsenal after his side went down 2-0 at the King Power Stadium to Leicester City.

The Gunners looked rattled all throughout the match and especially during the second half of the match, Arsenal did not look like a top-six side.

With this loss, the North London side have slipped to the sixth spot on the Premier League table and most fans want Unai Emery sacked as soon as possible.

Journalist David Ornstein though has made it clear that the club have no intentions of sacking their manager right now and are willing to wait until the end of the season.

The journo wrote for the Athletic: “The dissatisfaction among Arsenal supporters towards Unai Emery appears to have peaked following Saturday’s defeat at Leicester City, which confirmed their worst start to a top-flight season since 1982-83.

“The Gunners already find themselves eight points behind the Champions League places and having statistically — and many would argue stylistically — regressed since Arsene Wenger left in 2018, fans are seemingly unified in the view that after 18 months as head coach, Emery should be sacked.

“He is now the favourite with most bookmakers to become the Premier League’s next managerial casualty and speculation is already rife about who might succeed the Spaniard.

“However, The Athletic has been informed by senior sources that Arsenal’s hierarchy remain “100 per cent” behind Emery and still plan to wait until the summer before making a decision on his future.”

But with each passing day, it is getting extremely difficult for Arsenal to qualify for the Champions League next season which is perhaps why the club’s hierarchy are looking at Luis Enrique as their next possible manager.

As per reports, former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique was met by Raul Sanllehi and experts believe that this meeting was to discuss the managerial stance of the North London club.

Sports Mole wrote: “Reports in Spain now indicate that Arsenal’s Head of Football Raul Sanllehi sees Enrique as an ideal replacement and that he met with him last week.”

The former Barcelona boss was super successful in Spain but from the summer he is without a club and many people feel that he will be the ideal replacement for Unai Emery.

But all said and done, we don’t think Unai Emery will be shown the door so soon especially if the Gunners can get things back on track after the international break.
