Arsenal appointed Unai Emery as their new boss during the summer and since the Spaniard has had a mixed time at the Emirates.

While the manager has brought in some really nice players but losing points during some critical games this season has also put him in the firing line of some Arsenal fans.

Unai Emery has always wanted to bring in new players but the lack of funds from the owners has really restricted his movements in the market.

Arsenal were in dire need of reinforcements in January but all the managed to get was Denis Suarez from Barcelona on a six-month loan.

While the majority of the Arsenal fans have stood by their manager this season, former Man United defender John O’Shea feels the whole scenario could change next season.

“They need a couple of transfer windows,” he told BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast(as reported).

“And it looks like they’re gonna give Emery the time to do that.

“Yeah they have to, but it’s one of them things.

“You had the manager there for so long, the results the fans might be demanding in the summer again quite quickly if they start off next season and it doesn’t start too well – you know what it’s like, they’ll be calling for Emery’s head.

“No matter what he’s done in the transfer window, if they don’t start next season well, they’ll be calling for him.

“He won’t get the time till Christmas to do it again.”

Unai Emery’s biggest job this season was to bring Arsenal back to playing in the Champions League and if the manager can manage to do the same by the end of the season then the Arsenal fans will be quite content him.

Having said that though, the manager needs to make some impactful signings during the summer if he really wishes to take Arsenal back amongst the big boys of the Premier League.
