Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial both picked up injuries during Man United’s 2-0 loss to PSG in the Champions League last week.

Both the injuries were sustained right before half-time meaning the pair could not play during the second 45 minutes.

After the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer had confirmed that both Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard had suffered muscle injuries and the next few days would be needed to fully access the injuries.

Then came the really bad news when the club confirmed that the duo are likely to be sidelined for the next three weeks due to the injuries.

Anthony Martial and Lingard did not feature against Chelsea in the FA Cup on Monday and they were scheduled to miss the Premier League clash vs Liverpool too.

But on Wednesday the club have received a massive injury boost.

Mirror Sport had claimed that the injuries sustained were not too serious and the pair could actually be fit in time to face Liverpool on Sunday.

And on Wednesday when the Manchester United players arrived for training at Carrington they were joined by Lingard and Anthony Martial.

While everyone is still waiting for the official news but the fact that the pair have resumed training is certainly good news for Solskajer.

It is still unclear whether Anthony Martial and Lingard will make themselves available for Sunday but if they do then the manager will once again be able to set up his most attacking team at home.

Without Martial and Lingard, the caretaker boss had to change his formation against Chelsea on Monday wherein Juan Mata was deployed through the middle.

But if the attacking pair return on Sunday then Solskjaer will surely revert back to a 4-3-3.
