Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is without a doubt one of the best managers in world football right now and under him, almost every club has achieved greatness.

City are the undisputed kings of England right now and so was the case when he was in charge of Bayern Munich. But clearly, the biggest success of his career came at Barcelona.

And reliving his old Barcelona days, Pep Guardiola has talked about a player who was without a doubt his biggest success story at Camp Nou.

Sergio Busquets recently completed ten years with the Barcelona first team squad and it was Guardiola who brought him to the first team from Barcelona B.

And the manager still remembers what Lionel Messi told him about Sergio Busquets after training with the midfielder.

Guardiola told Universo Valdano(as reported by Goal): “I remember what Messi told me,

“After two or three days of training with him, he came to me and said, ‘I like this one’. And I said, ‘When there is trouble, he will be there’.

“He does everything for those around him.”

Sergio Busquets made his debut during the 2008/09 season and since then the 30-year-old has played close to 500 games for the Catalan giants.

Busquets is widely regarded as the best defensive midfielder in world football right now and when someone like Lionel Messi thinks you are good – there’s not much left to argue about it.
