Jadon Sancho wanted by Man United
Jadon Sancho is one of the players who is expected to make a move back to the Premier League this summer

Man United have been trying to sign winger Jadon Sancho from BVB all throughout the summer but the Premier League side are yet to agree on a deal.

While various reports have claimed various things but now two major sources have revealed the exact reason why Jadon Sancho is still nowhere close to joining the Old Trafford outfit.

The first one comes from MEN who are claiming that Dortmund are not willing to budge from their huge transfer demands and this is something which Man United are not too pleased about.

The report claims: “Manchester United are still some way from reaching an agreement to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

“Although United made progress in talks over Sancho’s salary and the agent’s fees, the MEN understands there is a ‘fundamental gap’ between both parties that has caused an impasse.

“United are also adamant they will not meet Dortmund’s €120million valuation in an up-front fee before the transfer window closes on October 5.

“Even though the window is open for just three more weeks United are persisting with their efforts to sign Sancho, 20 after they earmarked the right-wing as their priority position to strengthen this summer.

“United’s preference is to negotiate a deal comprised of add-ons for Sancho and they have refused to give up on signing him after Dortmund insisted Sancho would stay at the club. United have been frustrated by the slow pace of negotiations with Obasi and Lichtsteiner, brother of former Juventus and Arsenal defender Stephan. United are also considering alternatives in the event a move for Sancho does not materialise.”

This report was further backed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who in a recent interview has claimed that Man United will have to be creative if they wish to sign Jadon Sancho before deadline day.

Romano said, in the interview: ‘The only chance Man United have to sign Sancho in my opinion is not paying €120 million cash because it’s impossible this summer, but [it could be done] using the right way with add-ons – if Borussia Dortmund change their mind.

‘But it won’t be easy because Borussia Dortmund don’t want to hear the word “add-ons.”’

The whole transfer saga is turning into a mess with each passing day but some major pundits are of the view that Man United should be able to wrap up the signing before the transfer window shuts down next month.
