West Ham United are planning to make a move for Arsenal left-back Sead Kolasinac, according to journalist David Ornstein.
While writing for The Athletic, he claims that the Hammers are looking at a number of options for that left-back role and Sead Kolasinac happens to be one of them.
The Bosnian joined Arsenal on a free transfer back in 2017 but last season he fell down the pecking order after the arrival of Kieran Tierney from Celtic.
Tierney initially took time to settle down but now it’s clear that the Scott is going to be the first-choice left-back for Arsenal.
Also, with Bukayo Saka around, Sead Kolasinac will effectively be the third-choice left-back if he chooses to remain at the Emirates beyond the ongoing transfer window.
So with so many options, Mikel Arteta should not have any problem in letting him leave, more so since the Gunners had not paid even a dime to sign him from Schalke.
Schalke were also interested in taking him back this summer but it seems like that deal has not quite worked out and the left-back is likely to remain the Premier League itself.
Arsenal kicked off the 2020/21 campaign with a 3-0 win over Fulham but Sead Kolasinac could only find a place on the bench.
And if his reported move to West Ham United does not materialize in time then the left-back could be warming the benches all throughout the ongoing season.
