Tottenham Hotspur takes on Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday and Heung-Min Son is set to miss this all-important clash.

Heung-Min Son was the star of the show for Spurs this past weekend as the Lilywhites beat Aston Villa 3-2 and the South Korean scored two goals in the match – including the injury-time winner

Now though the club has confirmed that the player has suffered a fracture in his right arm and will be out of action for the next couple of weeks. And this means he is ruled out for the Chelsea visit next weekend.

A club statement issued on Tuesday read: “Son Heung-min is to undergo surgery this week after sustaining a fracture to his right arm.

“The South Korea international suffered the injury during our win against Aston Villa on Sunday.

“Following surgery, our medical staff shall be reviewing management options for Son’s rehabilitation with the player expected to be sidelined for a number of weeks.”

This is a huge blow for Spurs boss Jose Mourinho since the manager is already without the services of Harry Kane.

Heung-Min Son has been a stellar performer for Spurs during the past couple of seasons in the player has already shouldered much of the responsibility when Harry Kane has been on the sidelines.

But now it looks like Mourinho will have to rely on the likes of Dele Alli and Lucas Moura in order to pick up all three points against his former side.
