Arsenal brought in Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid in the summer but the midfielder has had a really tough time in England.

During the 2019-20 season, Ceballos has managed to play in only 14 Premier League games and after the arrival of Mikel Arteta, it was more or less certain that the player did not have any future at the club.

There were even reports that Dani Ceballos wanted to cut his stay short and head back to Spain but it was Arsenal who refused to let him leave.

And now, it seems that decision has come to benefit the midfielder since for the past couple of weeks, Ceballos has been starting in central midfield alongside Granit Xhaka and it seems like the player has won back the trust of his manager.

It’s being reported that the midfielder proved his worth to Arteta during Arsenal’s warm-weather training camp in Dubai and now the Gunners are looking to make his loan deal permanent.

To be fair to Dani Ceballos, he was out with a hamstring injury from November till January but right now he seems to have moved up the pecking order and has managed to repay the trust that Arteta has shown in him.

While Arsenal are making plans to make the deal permanent in the summer but they will reportedly have to pay £36million to do so which could be a really steep price if the club fails to get back into the Champions League.

Arteta will surely be needing a lot of money in order to restructure his defence for the upcoming season so it remains to be seen if the manager is willing to spend so much money on midfielder when he already has the likes of Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi amongst his ranks.
