Ole Solskjaer has made a number of good signings during his short stint as Manchester United manager but he might have hit the masterstroke by bringing in Bruno Fernandes in January.

Man United have been trying to sign Fernandes for some time now but they finally got their hands on the player at the start of the new year and so far he’s already made a massive impact at the club.

Up until now, the player has played in only nine games for the club but has already managed to clock three goals and four assists in such a short span of time.

And now speaking as to why he chose to join Manchester United, the playmaker revealed that Ole Solskjaer played a big part in convincing him to join the OT outfit.

“Since the beginning, I wanted to join Manchester United. For me, the most important was obviously the confidence of the coach”, Fernandes told the club’s official site.

“I need to know I am backed from the coach, because sometimes when you change club, not every time the coach wants you.

“If he has confidence in me, then the rest is working. I need to work to conquer my place, to play, to keep going with games and games and games.

“For me, this is the most important. So I feel the confidence from the club and I feel also the confidence from the coach.”

Ole Solskjaer has received a lot of stick as the Manchester United manager but slowly the Norwegian is beginning to show what he has in store for the Red Devils.

From the very first day, the manager has maintained that he needs only certain types of players in the squad and slowly we can see what he’s been talking about.

Ole Solskjaer has brought in the likes of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bisaka who have added a lot of quality to the side and he’s also managed to recultivate the form of Fred – a player who was destined to leave United.

And now Bruno Fernandes already looks the perfect man to take United back into the Champions League but what he needs is to have a top-quality player besides his side for the upcoming season so that he doesn’t crumble under pressure.
