Tottenham Hotspur came out with a 3-0 win over Borussia Dortmund at home in the Champions League and it was another masterclass from Mauricio Pochettino.
After cushioning the initial pressure from the German side, the Lilywhites scored three goals courtesy of Son, Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente.
This fine performance from the London club has garnered a lot of praise from football pundits.
And one person who was praising Spurs was Arsenal legend, Ian Wright.
Wright tweeted a GIF of a clapping Leonardo DiCaprio from the Wolf of Wall Street along with the caption Spurs.
This was indeed a moment of mutual respect from the Gunners legend despite the fierce rivalry between the London clubs.
But this glorifying of their arch-rivals has not gone down too well with the Arsenal fans who decided to hurl abuses at Wright from adoring Spurs.
Ian Wright was forced to delete the tweet and wrote a response on Twitter which read:
“Took down the Spurs tweet last night becos it lacked context! Thought they were brilliant without key players. 3-0 is a great result! That said, some of the vile abuse I received doubting my love for Arsenal because I applauded a very good Spurs performance is crazy. More love.”

Ian Wright might be an Arsenal legend but right now he is a pundit as well.
And like many footballer-turned-pundit, he too praised a fine Champions League performance from Spurs.
But the abuse that he has received from the Arsenal fans was totally unnecessary.
Many fans though have come out in defence of Ian Wright claiming that he has every right to praise Spurs and it is, in fact, the Arsenal fans who should grow up and show some respect towards one of their legends.
