Manchester United were clinically dismantled by PSG in the Champions League this week despite missing a host of first-team players.

Thomas Tuchel was without both Neymar and Edinson Cavani which gave a glimmer of hope to Man United going into the match.

But it was the duo of Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe who caused the most problems during the game.

And speaking after the match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, said of the World Cup winner: “The ground he makes up, that boy, to get in the box.

“For all the strikers out there, the poachers, that’s how to get in the box. I’ve been talking about that with our strikers.”

“Don’t give him that space to run into. He’s lightning quick, get your body in against him.

“I was never a top central defender. You better ask top defenders to stop him.”

But reports suggested that PSG’s flight back to Paris was delayed after the game and some rumours on social media immediately started claiming that the boys had stayed back in Manchester in order to catch up with friends and party after their 2-0 victory.

But now it has been confirmed that PSG had to wait because midfielder Marco Verratti and forward Kylian Mbappe had to undergo drug tests after the match.

PSG’s flight eventually took off at 1:20 am much later than expected.

The return leg will be played on the 6th of March at the Parc des Princes and going into the match with a 2-0 deficit, it will most certainly be an uphill task for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.
