Arsenal wants to offload Mesut Ozil during the summer transfer window in order to free up some funds.

Unai Emery plans to bring in some new players during the summer transfer window but the management has made it clear that the manager will have to send out Mesut Ozil.

And in a bid to do so, the club had offered the services of Mesut Ozil to Inter Milan this week.

Inter Milan had previously shown interest in the playmaker so Arsenal felt that offering Mesut Ozil to the Italian club made absolute sense.

But it looks like the London club have suffered a major setback.

Current reports claim that Inter Milan have rejected the offered since they are not at all interested in signing the German.

Mesut Ozil has hardly featured for Unai Emery’s side during the past couple of months and right now the club are paying £350,000-per-week in the form of wages for absolutely nothing.

Many pundits have urged Unai Emery to make use of the playmaker instead of making him rot on the bench while some have claimed that it might be Unai Emery who eventually has to leave the club.

So far Mesut Ozil has played only 14 games in the Premier League – scoring three goals and making one assist.
