Chelsea were beaten 6-0 at the Etihad this weekend by Manchester City.

And after this game, the Blues have slipped to sixth on the Premier League table – below Arsenal.

If Chelsea keep repeating such poor performances then it will be really hard for them to finish in the top-four.

But after this pathetic performance vs Man City, many pundits feel that Chelsea are right now the poorest team amongst the three clubs who are competing for the final Champions League spot.

Pep Guardiola’s men killed off the game in the first half itself as they went 4-0 and after they it was all about piling up the humiliation for Maurizio Sarri’s men.

The second half saw two goals and as soon as the final whistle was blown the camera’s turned their focus on Maurizio Sarri.

But to everyone’s surprise, the Italian chose to walk straight down the tunnel as he did not bother to shake Pep Guardiola’s hand.

Pep Guardiola did move towards Sarri but by that time, the Chelsea boss was halfway into the tunnel.

Gianfranco Zola though embraced Pep Guardiola and tried to explain as to why the Italian hurried down the tunnel.

After the match, Maurizio Sarri was asked as to why he did not shake hands with Pep Guardiola.

And the Italian had a really simple answer.

“I didn’t see at that moment,” the Blues boss said.

“But of course, as usual, I will go to say hello to him later, as usual.

“It was by chance because I wanted to go to the dressing room at that moment, and I didn’t see him.

“I don’t have a problem with Pep.

Even Pep Guardiola played down the whole situation saying: “He didn’t see me. I have a good relationship with him, no problem.”

Man City will now hit the road in order to take on Newport in the FA Cup while Chelsea will take on Malmo in the Europa League this Thursday.
