Inter Milan want Asmir Begovic
Asmir Begovic

Inter Milan have been on a buying spree during the past year and it looks like they have no intentions of stopping with their latest target being Asmir Begovic – as per reports.

The 32-year-old is currently under contract with for Premier League side AFC Bournemouth but right now he is out on loan to Premier League side AC Milan.

The loan deal with Milan ends in the summer following which he will have one more year with the Cherries back in England. But it looks like he might remain in Italy since Antonio Conte reportedly wants to sign him during the summer transfer window.

During the current season, Asmir Begovic has played in 19 games for Milan across all competitions and has managed to keep seven clean sheets in those matches.

And as per the reports, Inter Milan want to bring him on as a backup to Handanovic.

Should Inter go after Asmir Begovic?

Antonio Conte has previously worked with Asmir Begovic when the two were at Chelsea a couple of seasons ago. So naturally, the current Inter boss knows everything there is to know about the manager.

Handanovic recently suffered a fracture in one of his fingers following which the Nerazzurri have decided to add one more keeper to their ranks for the upcoming season.

There’s no reason to believe that AC Milan will look to try and make the loan deal permanent during the summer so Inter can sign him possibly with no resistance at all.

Currently, TransferMarkt values Asmir Begovic at €3 million and we believe if Inter Milan can splash out somewhere around €6 to €9 million, Bournemouth will be more than happy to let the 32-year-old stay in Italy on a permanent basis.
