It was just yesterday that we had reported of how Steven Gerrard has told Wes Foderingham that he is free to leave the club.

And now within 24 hours of that news, reports are filtering in that Foderingham might very well be on his way out during the summer.

Wes Foderingham has played his job as the first choice keeper at Ibrox pretty efficiently but the signing of Allan McGregor and the sudden rise of Jak Alnwick means that if the 27-year-old chooses to stay at the club he will be the third choice keeper under Gerrard.

As a result of this, the Gers manager has told Foderingham that he can leave and is willing to listen to any offers that come for the shot-stopper.

News has it that Championship side Ipswich Town are interested in signing Wes Foderingham.

Ipswich Town have come to the realisation that it will be very hard for them to hold onto their No 1 Bartosz Bialkowski and they are now looking to make a move for Wes Foderingham.

If Ipswich Town are really serious about getting the services of the Rangers keeper then all they have to do is agree on a fee with the Glasgow side – given the fact that Gerrard has no immediate use of the Wes Foderingham.

But we have a feeling that the Championship side will take a few weeks to analyze the Bialkowski situation before making any pressing moves for Wes Foderingham.
