Manchester United have been heavily linked with a series of top players during the past couple of months, and perhaps the biggest name of them all is Harry Kane.

Harry Kane has really had some disappointing seasons with Tottenham Hotspur and now that Jose Mourinho has taken charge of the club, there have been rumours that the forward wants out in the summer with Man United being his likely destination.

And while talking about the potential players that Man United need to bring in during the summer transfer window, Owen Hargreaves admitted that Harry Kane is someone who is not needed at Old Trafford right now.

Hargreaves told Premier League Productions, via Goal: “It’s not about quantity, it’s about quality.

“If you can have a Jadon Sancho – they need a right winger – Sancho playing off the right would make a huge difference.

“[Jude] Bellingham is 16 or 17, he’s going to be a super player but you need someone right now.

“I think they need an Ndidi type, a defensive sitter. If you have [Paul] Pogba and [Bruno] Fernandes then I think you need a defensive one there.

“I think they also need a left-sided centre-back.

“They have [Victor] Lindelof, [Harry] Maguire, [Eric] Bailly but a left-sided centre-back would make a big difference.

“Harry Kane is the dream but they don’t desperately need him.”

Is Harry Kane not needed at Man United?

Harry Kane is a player who can fit into almost every major European side but we think Owen is right.

Ole currently has players like Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood who have done more than a decent job this season while Odion Ighalo has also chipped in with a couple of goals since arriving from China in January.

So while the OT outfit will love to get their hands on Kane in the summer but Solskjaer will surely not want to break the bank in order to sign the England captain especially since he would be needing the money to bring in players for other areas of his squad.
