Arsenal brought in Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Manchester United in a swap deal for Alexis Sanchez.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was one of the final signings of Arsene Wenger before the Frenchman left the club last summer and it seems that the Gunners have gotten the better end of the deal.
While Sanchez has failed miserably at United, Mkhitaryan though has finally found a stronghold in the English Premier League.
But now it looks like, Unai Emery despite trusting him so much this season, has decided to sell him off during the summer transfer window.
If rumours are to be believed then Arsenal are planning to let go off Henrikh Mkhitaryan at the end of the season and he might very well head back to his old club.
No, we are not talking about Manchester United but the report claims that Borussia Dortmund are keen on bringing him back.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan played for Dortmund for three seasons before moving to Old Trafford and in these three seasons, the Armenian was easily one of the best players in the Bundesliga.
His performance though started to take a dip ever since he moved to England and given that he is already 30 years old, it looks like Henrikh Mkhitaryan is looking to spend the final phase of his career in Germany.
Emery is reportedly planning to sell off some of his key players in order to gather funds for the summer transfer window and after Mesut Ozil, it looks like Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s name is also on that list.
Mkhitaryan is out of contract at Arsenal in 2021 meaning BVB will have to shell out a transfer fee in order to sign their once charismatic midfielder.
And if rumours are to be trusted then a fee of around 35 million euros should be more than enough for Arsenal to let go off Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
