Celtic FC are confident that Odsonne Edouard will sign a new deal at the club and they will be able to hold onto him for one more season.

Recent reports have suggested that the Frenchman is ready to commit his future to the Parkhead outfit beyond the summer despite a flurry of English clubs wanting to sign him.

But according to ex-Leeds man Michael Brown, Edouard could be tempted to move out of the Premiership and join Leeds United if he can get regular playing time next season.

Brown told Football Insider: “If he feels he’s going to get game time then yeah, for sure, I think he sees the Premier League and Leeds United, it’s such an attractive club for anybody.”

“The Premier League is what interests every player and if Edouard feels like he’s going to get in the team and play, because you can go to a Premier League club and be in and around squad-wise, then yeah.”

It’s no secret that the right amount of money will force Celtic to sell off Odsonne Edouard but we have to wait and see if Leeds United are willing to spend 35-40 million pounds on one player.

Also, apart from Leeds, clubs like Arsenal and Leicester City are also keeping tabs on this development and if Odsonne Edouard is truly available in the market then the Gunners and the Foxes will easily be standing in the front of the queue.

Odsonne Edouard has scored 21 goals and provided 12 assists in 27 Premiership matches this past season and his current deal with the Hoops expires in the summer of 20222.
