Man United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to leave the club in the summer and rumours have it that he could be joining Manchester City.

Yes, above all, Pep Guardiola seems to be interested in signing the Frenchman and as per Fabrizio Romano, the club’s management and think tank have already discussed this particular move.

Romano updated on Twitter: “Manchester City will sign a new midfielder once Haaland saga’s over. Paul Pogba has been discussed internally as Mike Keegan reported – still nothing advanced, PSG also in the race.”

Is Pep Guardiola serious about signing Paul Pogba?

The Man City management might have discussed Paul Pogba internally but we don’t think Pep Guardiola will pursue a move.

The manager wants players who are proper workhorses and over these past six years, we have seen that Pogba is nothing short of a diva.

He prefers playing in a more advanced role in midfield but City already have Kevin De Bruyne in that position so Pogba will have to adjust in a central midfield role at Man City. As a central midfielder, he will have to help out in both attack as well as defence but unfortunately, tracking back is not one of his fortes.

Given his current form, Paul Pogba will not get preference over players like De Bruyne or Bernardo Silva and even Rodri is a better talent than him at the moment.

Also, the World Cup winner has spent most of this season on the treatment table and this is something that City will definitely look into.

Pep is a manager who cannot handle players with a superstar syndrome so it’s highly unlikely that Man City will actively chance Paul Pogba in the coming months.

Paul Pogba seems to have made up his mind:

It looks like Manchester City have actually offered a deal to Paul Pogba but as per David Ornstein, the midfielder is not keen to join the Etihad outfit.

As per The Athletic reporter, Pogba’s representatives have informed City that he intends to continue his career outside the Premier League.

As things stand, Manchester City have no chance of signing the World Cup winner and its clubs like Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG who are leading the line to bring him on board.
