Sadio Mane playing for Liverpool

Sadio Mane is expected to leave Bayern Munich at the end of this season and his next possible destinations are Manchester United and Newcastle United, reports the Mail.

Yes, Mane could be set for a shock return to the Premier League and this time, he might be joining one of Liverpool’s biggest rivals.

Sadio Mane moved to Germany last summer with high hopes but his time in Bavaria has been highly disappointing. At Liverpool, he had scored a staggering 120 goals in 269 appearances but in Germany, he’s managed to feature in only 37 games across all competitions.

From poor performances to getting into a physical altercation with Leroy Sane, he’s seen everything in the past year and Bayern have no intentions of holding onto the £35 million winger.

Will Sadio Mane join Man United or the Magpies?

Everyone thought after Thomas Tuchel’s appointment Mane’s fortunes will change but unfortunately, that has not been the case. Bayern Munich are open to selling the Senegalese and they are already inviting offers from interested parties.

Sadio Mane had a stellar time at Anfield and many would think that he won’t do something as blasphemous as joining a major rival. However, his career has hit rock-bottom so we can totally see him joining a team like Man United or Newcastle United.

His current market value is €45 million and his contract expires in 2025 so Bayern will not let him leave for cheap. The fee won’t be a problem for either of the two interested sides but we think, he will be of more help to NUFC rather than Manchester United.

Man United have Rashford and Garnacho who play on the left wing so they do not need another left-sided attacker but if the Magpies qualify for Europe then Mane’s experience can come in really handy. United’s priority number one is to sign a world-class striker and then strengthen their midfield.

These are just early days because as the transfer window comes close, several other teams will also want to sign the 31-year-old and if not Man United or Newcastle, there’s a very big chance that Sadio Mane will return to the English Premier League.
