Bayern Munich are preparing for life with Alphonso Davies and as per Fichajes, Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko is supposedly a top candidate to replace him.

Arsenal brought in Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City in 2022 and last year, the left-back was superb for the Gunners. He was really influential both going forward and in defence but this season, he’s fallen down the pecking order.

Currently, Mikel Arteta prefers to use either Kiwior or Tomiyasu as his first-choice left-back and it’s almost certain that Arsenal will listen to offers for the Ukrainian international. The Gunners are reportedly demanding around €45 million for him and their need for a new top-level left-back is such that Bayern Munich are ready to pay up.

Will Oleksandr Zinchenko fit into Bayern Munich’s plans next season?

Zinchenko has contributed only 2 assists in 26 Premier League games this season and in the previous couple of months, he’s been warming the benches most of the time. Out of the previous 10 games, he’s started on the bench five times including important games against Bayern, Manchester City and Tottenham.

It’s almost certain that Mikel Arteta will look to cash in on him and at 27, he can very well replace Alphonso Davies. Davies is on his way to Real Madrid and at €45 million, Oleksandr Zinchenko will be a pretty bargain replacement.

Zinchenko is a very attack-minded full-back who loves going forward and apart from playing in defence, he can also operate in the central midfield role. This versatility will be of great use to Bayern plus his style of play is very similar to the Bavarians’ dominating brand of football.

The Bundesliga side are yet to select a new manager so it’s still not sure if the club will go all out to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko or not but we are certain that whoever comes in will definitely want the 27-year-old on board.

If Bayern are willing to pay up then Arsenal will be more than happy to send him to Germany and despite losing him importance this season, the full-back still has a lot of top-level appearances left in him. If Granit Xhaka can leave England and find success in Germany then surely Oleksandr Zinchenko can do the same next season.
