Celtic have reportedly shown interest in signing Jack Stacey from Championship side Luton Town – as per reports.

Last season, Luton Town played in League One and Jack Stacey was a key member of the Luton’s squad playing in 50 games across all competitions and assisting 8 goals.

And now, the 23-year-old is getting a lot of attention from big clubs.

The Bhoys have lost the likes of Mikael Lustig, Cristian Gamboa and Jeremy Toljan at right-back meaning Anthony Ralston is currently the only option in that area of the pitch.

Ralston is rather inexperienced so bringing in a new right-back is the utmost priority for Neil Lennon.

But getting their hands on the Jack Stacey will not be a walk in the park since the Daily Mail are claiming that Premier League side AFC Bournemouth too are interested in signing him this summer.

The Daily Mail reported: “Bournemouth are showing interest in Luton Town defender Jack Stacey.

“The 23-year old can play at right-back or in midfield and has also drawn attention from Scottish champions Celtic.”

Jack Stacey is out of contract at Luton Town next year so there is a huge possibility that the Championship side will want to sell him off this summer and not risk losing him for free next year.

And right now, the Cherries look to be in the driver’s seat given that they play in the most famous football league in the world.

Celtic know for a fact that they can never compete with the Premier League side – both in terms of finance as well as stature. So the only way that they can lure in Jack Stacey is by offering the 23-year-old a regular first-team spot during the 2019-20 season.
