West Ham United take on Manchester City at home this weekend and Manuel Pellegrini will surely be eager to even the scores with his former club.

Be it home or away but beating Man City will surely be an uphill task and no one really expects the Hammers to create any sort of miracles.

But Pellegrini has finally received some good news from his medical staff meaning that overcoming the City challenge might not be a very tough task.

According to reports, both Andy Carroll and Jack Wilshere are expected to return to the first team this weekend and they should start on Saturday.

Jack Wilshere arrived at West Ham during the summer and after a couple of fine performances the Englishman picked up an ankle injury.

Initially, the injury was said to be minor but then Jack Wilshere had to go under the knife and he has been recovering ever since.

The midfielder though has returned back to full training during the international break and he is in line to get his first start in months against Manchester City.

Andy Carroll is also fit from the ankle injury which he picked up before the start of the season.

Carroll was expected to be sold off during the summer but his injury meant West Ham had to scrap that move.

But now that the player is fit he is expected to return to the matchday squad but it is highly unlikely that Manuel Pellegrini will start with the big man up front.

Despite the return of Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll, it is still an uphill task for the Hammers but atleast with a fully fit squad, Manuel Pellegrini will have the confidence of trying out a few bold moves.
