West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere might return from injury ahead of schedule – as per reports.

Jack Wilshere joined the Hammers during the summer on a free transfer from Arsenal but the midfielder is yet to settle in at the London Stadium.

Wilshere picked up a knock during the Wolves game and initially he was thought to be out of action for a couple of months.

At first, it was thought that his ankle injury would not require any surgery but then the club confirmed that he has a screw in his ankle from a previous surgery which needed to be adjusted.

This minor surgery meant Jack Wilshere’s return would be further delayed and Manuel Pellegrini has since been sweating it out over his midfield selection.

But now as per a latest report, the midfielder is ahead of schedule with his recovery and could make an appearance as early as November.

After the international break, West Ham take on Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City but Jack Wilshere is expected to make his return when the Hammers play Burnley at the start of next month.

And Jack Wilshere’s injury update could not have come at a better time since the Hammers have just lost Carlos Sanchez to a long-term injury. This means the former Arsenal man can come back and slot right into midfield alongside Mark Noble.
