Rangers FC beat St Mirren 4-0 this weekend meaning the Gers have managed to hold onto the second spot on the Premiership table.

January signing Jermain Defoe put his name on the scoresheet through an 80th-minute penalty.

Meaning the former Bournemouth man has now scored two goals in two Premiership games for the Gers.

When Jermain Defoe joined the Gers last month many fans were sceptical since the player is well above his prime but his initial performances show that he can be a real asset to Steven Gerrard.

And now it looks like that the striker is already a Teddy Bear at heart.

A video has emerged when a Celtic fan walks up to Jermain Defoe to say that instead of joining Rangers, the former England international should have joined Celtic.

The fan said: “Defoe! You should have signed for Celtic mate!”

“Come on, they are a better team up here!”

And to this, the striker replied:

“We will see about that.”

This cheeky banter between Jermain Defoe and the Hoops fan certainly proves that the striker has very much adjusted to life at Ibrox and someone must have given him the complete lowdown of the famous Old Firm rivalry.
