Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has been tipped to move out of the Premier League this summer and join his ex-manager Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

It was Sarri who brought Jorginho to Chelsea from Napoli two years ago and now the Italian manager wants to reunite with his most trusted player in Turin.

Jorginho had a whirlwind first campaign in England but he’s been much more stable this season for the Blues having played in 26 Premier League games so far, scoring four and assisting two goals. But, at the same time, numerous reports have claimed it’s only a matter of time before the defensive midfielder heads back to Italy.

Now the Athletic have taken a totally different view on this transfer saga by claiming that the pair have not even talked to each other for a year now.

talkSPORT quote the article by saying: “Jorginho and Maurizio Sarri have not spoken for a year despite rumours the pair will link up once again at Juventus.

“The rumours linking Jorginho with a move to Juventus, where Sarri is now manager, have been constant from the Italian press.

“The Athletic report that the pair have not spoken for a year. No falling out is believed to have taken place, but there has simply just been no contact.”

Will Jorginho remain at Chelsea next season?

There have been talks that Real Madrid have reignited their interest in N’Golo Kante and if this is serious then there’s no way Frank Lampard will be willing to part ways with Jorginho as well.

Kante has not been in peak form this season so the Blues should not have any issues in cashing in on him this summer. But Jorginho is part of a well-oiled machine which Lampard will not want to dismantle so quickly.

While there’s every chance Chelsea might still part ways with the Italian if they need money to rebuild their squad but as things stand, Jorginho remains an integral part of the system.

Kante can fetch around £70million in the transfer market this summer in which case the Blues will no longer have to sell the former Napoli man, citing funding requirements.
