Manchester United have parted ways with Jose Mourinho on Tuesday morning which the club announcing the Portuguese will snap all ties with the club with immediate effect.

Manchester United released an official statement on their website which read:

“Manchester United announces that manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect.

“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.

“A new caretaker manager will be appointed until the end of the current season, while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”

Now the big question is who is going to replace Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford?

A number of possible names have popped up but the rumour mill suggests former Real Madrid man Zinedine Zidane is going to be the man who is going to bring back the glory days at the club.

But then, where is Jose Mourinho heading?

If rumours are to be believed then Mourinho will be heading back to Real Madrid as Florentino Perez still wants him back at the club.

Jose Mourinho was the manager at Real Madrid form 2010 to 2013 and won the La Liga title in 2011-12. But despite bringing domestic success to the club after a number of years, the Portuguese left the club after falling out with a number of his players.

Now rumours have it that Jose Mourinho might very well head back to Real Madrid who are in a similar situation in the league after making a terrible start to the 2018-19 campaign.

This bit of news has been met with a few criticisms since players like Sergio Ramos and Marcelo had troubled times with the manager and these two are still a very big part of the club.

Having said that though, Jose Mourinho maintains a very positive relationship with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez who at the end of the day is the final word at the club.
