Former Liverpool midfielder Steven Gerrard was appointed as the new manager for Scottish side Rangers FC earlier during the summer.

And ever since moving to Ibrox, Gerrard has made some pretty positive headlines in relation to his managerial stint.

The manager has signed more than a dozen players during the summer and has also helped the Light Blues get back into the Europa League.

And it is not only the Gers fans who have been singing praises about their manager but even the Liverpool fans are happy that one of their own has made a successful start to his management career.

And amongst one such admirer is Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp who has sent a couple of players out on loan to Rangers.

Klopp said: “I have seen a few games because Stevie has three of my former players, two on loan and Flano [Jon Flanagan],

“He [Gerrard] is doing well. I am not sure what the Rangers fans expect but the start was brilliant actually.

“Then you lose against Celtic. Wow, what a surprise! That is a top team in the league. Celtic were not 50 or 60 per cent better like in the last few years so they are coming closer. That is the only way to get them one day.

“That is his job to do but, so far — more than good. It is good football. In Europe, it was brilliant. So they have a good team together. They have to improve — that is it.”

Many fans believe that the Rangers stint for Steven Gerrard is more like an audition for him being the future Liverpool manager when Jurgen Klopp eventually steps down from his chair.
