Arsenal have been in the hunt for Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney for a couple of months now but right now they are nowhere close to signing the youngster.
So far the Gunners have made two unsuccessful bids for the Scottish youngster but each time the Bhoys have held out for more money.
Arsenal’s first bid was in the region of £15 million and their second bid was around £18 million but the Bhoys have made it clear that Kieran Tierney will not be sold for anything less than £25 million.
Neil Lennon has also gone on record to say that the Gunners need to pay up more if they wish to sign the Celtic prodigy this summer.
Paying £25 million would not have been a problem for the North London side but this summer they are working on a very strict budget given that they have not been able to qualify for the Champions League.
Now though if reports are to be believed then Unai Emery might very well ditch the idea of trying to sign Kieran Tierney.
AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Theo Hernandez on a five-year deal which means that Ricardo Rodriguez could very well move out of the San Siro.
Reports are claiming that Milan have brought in Hernandez as a replacement for Ricardo and they are willing to let the Swiss international leave.
Rumours have it that Milan want to offer Rodriguez in a swap deal for Lucas Torreira as Giampaolo is eager to reunite with his Sampdoria star.
If Unai Emery agrees to let Torreira leave for Italy then Arsenal could get Ricardo Rodriguez in exchange – thereby solving their left-back problem.
In such a scenario, Arsenal will not be required to make a move for Kieran Tierney and this could be a huge blow for Celtic since no other major club have till now shown interest in signing the left-back.
Napoli have been linked with a move for Kieran Tierney last month but there is no concrete evidence whether the Serie A side are seriously planning to make a move for the Scottish youngster.
