Despite popular belief, Arsenal have not given up on signing Kieran Tierney and right now the Gunners are in pole position.

They have already seen two bids being rejected by the Bhoys but Emery still remains confident that he will be able to get his hands on the left-back before the transfer window shuts down.

But during the past couple of weeks, there have been growing fears that Napoli might stage a coup and end up signing Kieran Tierney.

Reports in Italy have claimed that Carlo Ancelotti has been keeping tabs on the youngster for a couple of months now and they are planning to make a move to sign him.

And these rumours have led many people to believe that the Gunners might be prized out of the transfer by the Italian outfit.

Now though, the Arsenal fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief since Ancelotti has himself stated that he is not interested in signing Kieran Tierney.

“Honestly, I’m not interested in signing him,” Ancelotti is quoted as saying by Metro.

“He is a really good young left-back but he is a Celtic player. We are looking for a lot of players for this coming season but he is a Celtic player and we have two good left-backs.

“But honestly I can say he is a really good player.”

This is a huge boost for the Gunners as they are reportedly willing to offer Kieran Tierney a pretty lucrative deal should he agree to move to the Emirates.

As per the Football Insider, Arsenal are willing to give the left-back a five-year contract at the club with wages in the region of £75,000-a-week.

But this whole scenario depends on whether the two clubs can agree on a transfer fee for Kieran Tierney.
